Idea & Sketch
This is a project inspired by the dolls made by Marina Glebova. “Everyone has a secret.” Secrets are not necessarily bad, they just aren't meant to be told.
Character
This is a character (a little bird) whose mouth is wrapped up by a little flower. The flower is a metaphoric representation of secret. And the doll is someone carrying the secret.
Video
In this short video, the bird's mouth is kept closed by the wrap. The little bird is lifted above the ground by the flower-like balloon and is carried out of the screen. When the last word "shhh" comes out, the background music suddenly stops, corresponding with the meaning of "shhh".
Storyboard
Some of the scenes happen in a dark, separate space. These could be interpreted as the inner world of a person carrying a secret. In the dark scenes, there is only the balloon or a word from the sentence bouncing back and forth, keeping the same frequency.) In the final version of my storyboard, words start to mix with other scenes. This will give a more intense feeling.
